The United Fund of Surry County recognized the Mount Airy NC employees of Renfro at their annual awards luncheon with their top award, the Pat Woltz Way-to-Glow Award. The Socks for Heroes organization was started by the parents of LCPL Donald J. Hogan, killed in Afghanistan in August 2009.
