The United Fund of Surry County recognized the Mount Airy NC employees of Renfro at their annual awards luncheon with their top award, the Pat Woltz Way-to-Glow Award. Todd Tucker, who chaired the 2016-17 fundraising campaign, presented the award and indicated that employees at Renfro raised almost $47,000 toward the $450,000 goal. The Socks for Heroes organization was started by the parents of LCPL Donald J. Hogan, killed in Afghanistan in August 2009.
